Color Wheels

I have always been intrigued by color wheels, and in general I am just a color junkie.

This is a very interesting post about the history of color wheels I came across today.

This is a fun test about your skill at color recognition...coughing modestly....I got a perfect score.

I haven't done any more journal pages in a while, hope to do some art this weekend.

This is the cover I created on my "cheap" watercolor pad that I purchased for my page a day class. I painted over the cover with black gesso and then painted with lucious Stewart Gill paints.
Unfortunately the whole month of pages won't fit into the pad -so I guess I'll need to start a second one....

Art Journal Class with Kelly Kilmer

I am taking another online class. Everyday during May we are given a set of prompts to create an art journal page - what to paint, what to collage, what to journal. It is very fun and challenging! It has taken me out of my comfort zone. What is also fun is to see the page pictures that everyone posts -we all start with the same recipe, but the pages are all so unique!

back to some color and using some found "inchies" another art fad I fell prey to...

a page a day this one was 4/22

One more grey page... next on to some color. I am so happy that am enjoying my Moleskine again and trying to do a little something everyday rather than feel like I have to wait until I get a big block of time to do art -because that rarely happens. This page was inspired -OK mostly copied - from a page done in Pam Carricker's Shades of Grey Class by Gill McCowan
